pARALLELOGRAMS wITHOUT tAILS

Is Broken

the
roof
of hell
shell
casings
and rain
a child’s bed cold
and broken

Shooing Birds

my
grandfather
had one leg
that he used for
shooing birds
from the scatter
of his thoughts

Kites

I sit
in the murder
of your thoughts
making kites
and parallelograms
without tails
or string
